Hope in the eyes of Egyptians

Im writing with fresh emotions after the overthrow of President Morsi and the MB. The keys on my keyboard are not enough to express my respect and happiness for Egyptians and the Egyptian Army! And frankly I have a headache from the constant flow of information from TV, social media and friends. I need a small break to bring you my deeper opinion and feeling towards Egypt's future. I will just leave You with one special story from the streets right after the Army took over and Egyptians poured to the streets.

I saw a man from our car window. He was an old man with grey hear, long dusty galabeia. With one hand he was holding an egyptian flag and the other was pushing along is bicycle. The traffic was too crammed for him to drive it. I will NEVER forget the look in his eyes. His was smiling shyly but sincerely. These eyes have probably already seen 70 years of Egyptian life and history, the good and the bad. And here he is again, seeing Egypt change once again, become free once again. I saw hope and happiness and freedom in his eyes. And it was more meaningful for me than all the chanting young crowds around me. For some reason it reminded me of my grandmother. She passed away 2 months ago, may she rest in peace! If I see hope and brightness in the eyes of the elderly, something tells me, we are going to be fine...

I will leave You with a fun video and photos from the streets
