Personal space and baby shopkeepers in Cairo

Today several interesting things happened to me. They are random moments during one day going around Cairo in my daily things. I recently had a post about Cairo metro, many always start from the metro, so is my first experience.
(PS. Photos are illustrational from Google)

I entered Cairo metro in Dokki station, bought a ticket and went to the platform to wait for the next train. To my suprise the platform was empty, no one around, just me. As I was looking away the next person came, a young girl. When I turned around I found her beside me, not close to me, beside (!) me, half meter apart, our bags almost toutched! I looked to my right and my left and there was no one and she just randomly placed herself next to me. She didn't stare or try to make a conversation, she just found it's normal to wait on an empty platform invading my personal space:) I was giggeling behind my sunglasses.
This is not the first time I encounter egyptian sense of space (or the lack of it). Often in our opera training hall people come and squeeze themselves between dancers where there is no space (but pleanty in another corner), they don't mean it, they just don't notice you at the front or back.

And then I reached my destination, Khan el Khalili bazar. I was waiting a friend next to a street kiosk selling all kinds of snacks and drinks. I entered to get a drink and the same moment the shopkeeper had to leave and said he will be back in 2 minutes and his son is in charge. The son was about 6 years old! The new boss was a baby. I chose my drink and paid him and helped him to do the math. More people came and he handled it as a professional, he was a funny baby copy of his father using same language and manners he sees his dad doing every day. People found it amusing and smiled. Noone abused him, they adored the baby shopkeeper and I think he made his dad proud:)
