Its time for You to get all those special Arabic songs you need translated!
How many times have I, while still dancing in Estonia, needed urgent help with translating some famous or rare or crazy songs...countless! Im so proud to be finally able to offer arabic song translation service from Cairo especially for dancers. I have a partner in crime (also my adorable husband and a fantastic dancer) Salah, who is a native Egyptian speaker. We have been translating songs online for dancers around the world for 5 years.
HOW IT WORKS?
You will be provided with a detailed Arabic song translation to your selected song. Each musical line will have a "franko-arabic" line (arabic language in latin alphabet so You can easily read along and follow the music) and then followed by the english translation for the same line. You will also receive:
- Explanation the mood and meaning of the song in general
- Explanation of the meaning of each musical line
- Focusing and explaining the key words in the lyrics (the most important words within the line, using these singular words in the dance at the right moment, is a great technique for a rich choreography)
- Opening the Middle-Eastern humor and hidden meanings behind the words. For example shaaby songs are full of double-meanings and humor that You understand when You know the cultural context. Also romantic love songs sometimes have more meaning behind a single word that might first appear.
EXAMPLE
"Franko-arabic line" ------- El lila helwa el lila
eid … el koll gay farhan saeid
English translation ---------This night is sweet (helwa) and this night is a feast … everyone comes
happy (notice the key word in brackets)
Cultural meaning -----------(a feast usually refers so a bigger Egyptian celebration, religious
or secular that makes people party and have a good mood)
